easter

i haven't dyed easter eggs in a long time.

and i'd forgotten that it is fun.

holidays tend to be difficult here in brazil. i'm away from my family and friends. and with the holidays, come reminders of family traditions. but i'm blessed to be a with a family here in brazil that is so sensitive to things such as this. melody prepared a great lunch after we all shared a devotion together on easter morning. the easter holiday was different this year...but good.

and it's when i'm left without the comforts of family traditions during the holidays, that i'm forced to really remember why i'm celebrating. jesus died for me and rose again three days later. he's alive today. and that's why i'm here now. that's why i'm in brazil. and so this time that was difficult, god used to remind me of why i'm where i am.
